The Mercurian FA rejects the complaint by the Senyan FA made to the FMF today, whereby they claimed that the FA banned Senyan spectators from attending the game and using pyrotechnics. The Mercury FA has made no such ruling, and this so-called "ban" is a stadium rule that has always been in force since the Freddie Mercury Memorial Arena opened. Our friends from Senya have visited us on three prior occasions, and were aware of, and followed these rules on all three occasions. We are hurt that they would take this to be a national insult.

Senyan fans are most welcome at our matches, and we will continue to provide all of the many benefits that we offer to travelling supporters, something that is not currently reciprocated by any other FMF member nation. We do this because we want to create a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere at our matches. This is something we have endeavoured to create for the 10 years we have been part of the FMF.

We would be more than happy for Senya to visit us again soon, but we ask that they do respect the rules set by the stadiums used for our matches, which are in place for the safety and enjoyment of all spectators in attendance.
